Competition Events
Our events calendar features a range a competitions throughout the year, from weekly play to club championships.
MONDAY & THURSDAY
The Monday and Thursday competitions are the foundation of the CT Golfers program, offering professionally organised golf in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Competitions are open to both men and women, with all skill levels encouraged to participate. Play generally begins from first light and continues through the morning, with tee times available up until approximately 11:30 am. Fields are divided into four handicap grades to help create fair and enjoyable competition across a wide range of playing abilities.

Competition formats alternate between Stableford and Stroke events throughout the program, with prizes awarded on the day for the best performances in each grade and nearest to the pin (NTP) winners. Every round is conducted under official Golf Australia handicapping, meaning all eligible scores contribute to a player’s handicap record. Bookings are managed through MiClub, while scoring can be completed digitally through MiScore or with traditional paper scorecards for those who prefer a more familiar approach.

While the competitions are conducted professionally, the culture of CT Golfers remains easy-going and community focused. The emphasis is on enjoying the game, meeting fellow golfers, and creating an environment where players can compete without taking things too seriously. Whether you are playing for a prize, maintaining your handicap, or simply enjoying a regular game with good company, the Monday and Thursday competitions are designed to keep golf enjoyable, accessible, and social.
MONTHLY MEDAL
The Monthly Medal is held on the final Monday and final Thursday of each month, conducted in conjunction with the day’s regular competition round. The format is always nett stroke, with all players competing together across the entire field to determine the Monthly Medal winner. Unlike the standard daily competitions, there are no handicap grades for the Monthly Medal — a single outstanding nett score claims the honour for the month.

The Monthly Medal is designed to recognise exceptional scoring while still keeping the focus on enjoyment, participation, and community. Winning the event is a great achievement, but the spirit of the day remains friendly and welcoming — a quality competition without losing the social nature and relaxed atmosphere that defines the group.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Club Championships are the premier annual event for CT Golfers, held each year across three consecutive Mondays. The competition is typically scheduled in September or October, with final dates confirmed closer to the event to align with course conditions, seasonal factors, and any planned maintenance.

The Championships are contested in a 36-hole (multi-round) stroke format, with players required to compete in all three rounds to be eligible. The title is awarded to the player with the lowest total gross score across the series — a true test of consistency and performance “off the stick”, with no handicap adjustments or grading divisions.

Separate titles are awarded for Men’s Champion and Ladies’ Champion, recognising the best overall performers in each field.
