32 Player Draw
Our Match Play Event is a fun knockout competition open to 32 players. Players arrange their own matches against their opponent, with winners progressing through the draw until a champion is crowned.
Quick Guide
Match play is a simple head-to-head format where each hole is a separate contest.
Win a hole → you go 1 up
Lose a hole → you go 1 down
Tie a hole → no change
The player who is ahead by the most holes wins the match and moves on to the next round.

Rules
For this event, matches are played using the same rules players are familiar with from normal competition days — just played head-to-head.
-
It is the responsibility of both players to contact each other and arrange a mutually agreed time. Matches may be played at any time, inside or outside of the regular competition schedule.
-
Matches must be played in the same group (i.e. opponents must face eachother).
-
The match will be played using normal competition rules (i.e. official match play rules do not apply).
-
Players are responsible for using their correct daily handicap, which should be confirmed prior to play (pro shop staff can assist if required).
-
The difference in handicaps determines the number of strokes given. Strokes are applied according to the hole index on the scorecard.
(Example: Player A (10) vs Player B (5) → Player A receives 1 stroke on holes indexed 1–5). -
The match is decided by the number of holes won (e.g. 3&2).
-
The match must result in a winner. If the match is tied after 18 holes, players should agree on a suitable method to determine the winner. This may include replaying a hole, a putting contest, or another agreed approach depending on course conditions & availability.
-
The winner is responsible for reporting the result to the organisers.
-
If a match is not completed by the deadline, the organisers reserve the right to determine the outcome, including awarding a forfeit where appropriate.
-
Any disputes will be resolved by the organisers, whose decision is final.
