What is Chinderah / Tweed Golfers?
Chinderah / Tweed Golfers is an organised competition and handicapping program for golfers aged 50 years and over who enjoy playing at Chinderah Golf Course.
The program provides professionally administered competitions on Mondays and Thursdays, along with official Golf Australia handicapping under the World Handicap System.
Participation is designed to provide regular competition golf with handicapping and prizes.
Is Chinderah / Tweed Golfers the same as Chinderah Golf?
No. Chinderah / Tweed Golfers and Chinderah Golf Course are separate entities.
Chinderah Golf Course is the privately owned golf course where competitions are played.
Chinderah / Tweed Golfers administers the competition and handicap program for registered players who participate in these competitions.
Is this a traditional golf club membership?
No. Participation in the Chinderah / Tweed Golfers program is not the same as holding a traditional golf club membership.
The program provides registered players with access to organised competitions and an official Golf Australia handicap under the World Handicap System.
Competitions are conducted at Chinderah Golf Course on Mondays and Thursdays in agreement with the course.
What does "Home Club" mean?
Under the World Handicap System, a “Home Club” is the authorised organisation responsible for maintaining a player’s Handicap Index.
Chinderah / Tweed Golfers acts as the Home Club for handicapping purposes. This means we:

Maintain your official Golf Australia Handicap

Ensure score submission and handicap updates

Administer handicapping in accordance with Golf Australia and the World Handicap System
Am I a 7-day member of Chinderah Golf Course?
No. Participation in the Chinderah / Tweed Golfers program does not provide 7-day membership of Chinderah Golf Course.
Registered players participate in organised competitions conducted on Mondays and Thursdays.
Outside these scheduled competitions, normal course access arrangements apply through Chinderah Golf Course.
Do I still pay green fees?
Yes. Green fees apply when playing at Chinderah Golf Course.
Registered players pay the normal green fee when participating in Monday and Thursday competitions. Green fees also apply for any social rounds played at other times.
Competition entry also includes a small competition fee, which is returned to players in the form of prizes.
